Anthony LaVopa

Founder & Chairman

Raised in Maine, Anthony’s lifelong passion for the ocean inspired a distinguished Navy career. Commissioned as an Ensign in 2009 with a B.S. in Civil Engineering, he served a board advanced ships like USS Zumwalt and commanded USS Hurricane. With an M.B.A. in Finance and an M.A. in National Security, he’s also an award-winning author on naval strategy and wargaming.

Robert LaVopa

Advisory Board Member

Robert LaVopa, a lifelong entrepreneur, started in his family’s motel business at ten. He founded Sound Waves in the 1980s, growing it to three locations before entering finance as a licensed stockbroker. Later, he helped build a $15M tire distribution business.
Now semi-retired in Florida, Robert oversees purchasing for a multi-location orthopedic surgery group.

Erika Glenn

Advisory Board Member

Erika Glenn has over 20 years of experience driving innovation at the crossroads of healthcareand technology. As Chief Growth Officer at Redox, she leveraged data and AI to improve patientoutcomes. Previously, at CVS Health, she led transformative initiatives in care management.Erika’s career began in technical roles, evolving into strategic leadership in healthcareoperations.

Charles F. Rowell, Jr.

Advisory Board Member

Chuck dedicated 36 years to New York Life Insurance, rising from sales representative to Managing Partner before retiring in 2009. A former president of New York Life’s retired executive board, he now serves on several boards, including the Virginia Tech Foundation. With degrees in management and financial services, Chuck is also an Eagle Scout and professional trumpet player.

Joe Lillie

Advisory Board Member

Joe Lillie is an investor at Castle Rock Advisors, the family office for Berkshire Partners. Hejoined Berkshire in 2022 as Vice President, focusing on private equity in industrial and business services.
Previously, Joe worked at Grosvenor Capital Management and served as a U.S. Navy officer. He holds a BBA from Notre Dame and JD/MBA degrees from Harvard.
